This is actually the biggest hurdle for stopping 996 culture. A lot of the employees would rather trade money for health and lifestyle.  Maybe company should toy with the idea of offering perks/money if employees get rested.

There was a time in my life where I kind of worked like that.

Left the house and return 12 hours later on the week days. Worked the weekends, but had a week day off. Did not take a vacation in 10 years either. That was one day off per week, in 10 straight years.

My health was great. Probably one of the healthier times in my life.

The Chinese work hard.

The Chinese are educated.

The Chinese are cheap!

Everywhere!

Plus, the Chinese are racing up the technical ladder with increasing competence and innovations.

The Americans do not know what they are up against.

Whining Liberals. That is what they are.

With US leaving Afganistan and taliban soon to come in power, I think ETIM will again start terrorist activities in Xinjiang region. It seems like a well calculated move to remove ETIM from terrorist list, beating up Uighur genocide drums and leaving afganistan to taliban control and probabaly funding the seperatist jihadist before departure. Belt & Road project can be seriously impacted if jihadist can manage to inflitrate Xinjiang through porus afgan border.

Not really, China will negotiate with the taliban and offer them a deal (investments, bri) plus China has leverage with pakistan (taliban main weapons supplier)

@MrCrazyBoyRavi bro my take on the situation, the Taliban with lesson learned during their association with Al Queda will not allowed it. With Osama bin Ladin they had shared hardship while confronting a common enemy with ETIM they had not, And also the Taliban are nationalistic they will not allowed foreigners to settled in their land and used it against their interest. And lest we forget Pakistan, they had a role to play in the region safeguarding their economic interest regarding their CPEC project with China

CIA has intensive network in afganistan after 2 decades of war. Afganistan is perfect safe heaven for ETIM jihadist who fought alongside ISIS in syria and Iraq. If CIA wants to destablize Xinjiang region, then it can easily train & arm ETIM jihadist in afganistan and Taliban will also be sympethetic to Islamic state cause and ignore whatever training and Base ETIM terrorist set up in border.
If these terrorist set up ambush, IED in belt& road paths insurance cost gonna skyrocket and it won’t be a viable economic plan.
