He can sanction China the same way they sanction Iran. We’ll see if they’re willing to go that far

He could try, but you'd be looking at literally every country (and major company) in the world completely ignoring such sanctions.

It would also result in the end of the US Dollar as the preferred international settlement currency

No. Trump can't directly "order" an American company not doing business with China, nor can he directly "sanction" an American company for doing business with China.

To punish a US company for doing business in China, Trump has to go through a lengthy legal battle and there is no guarantee he could win.

Trump got so mad when he saw the stock market stumble more than 600 points that he forgot to hide his stupidity.

Monday will have a huge market sell off thanks for Trump's "order". The US economy may already start to slip into a Trump-induced recession.

Thats what I said, he cant ordered them not to buy from China.

But he can sanction firms doing business with China on natonal security ground.
I know its a bit of a streach. But technically, he can and have done on very flimsy evidence!

I think that he is acting like a dictator, i think China hit the right nerve to do a lot of harm to us economy and politics this time. Chinese are masters of strategy, read "war without limits" a book that two chinese colonels wrote in the nineties. Xi and CCP are applying that notions to the current conflict with us.

Trump is a disgrace to the US. Look at his antics ...... he claimed to be "the chosen on" ...Next he will say he is "god" ...of disaster. He will drag the US economic & trade into catastrophe. Trump is a very dangerous dictator ... he has quarrelled with China, recently Denmark (wanting to buy Greenland - he must be loony), France, Canada, Japan etc. etc. Who are his good friends he claimed: Kim of DPKR, Putin.... shows his weird mentally. nahhh, he is proven stable genius, he knows about military better than all the US generals combined .. he is the best negotiators the world has ever seen. He knows politic better than all US politicians combined. He is the best US president ever .. by huge margin
