A two-seat electric aircraft, RX1E-A, independently developed by China, carried out its first flight at Badaling Airport in Beijing on Monday, injecting fresh vitality into the city's low-altitude economy, CCTV News reported.

The RX1E-A type, an advanced version of the country's first electric plane, made its maiden flight in 2017 in Shenyang, Liaoning province. It is mainly used for pilot flight training and experience flights. Since obtaining the type certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China in 2018 and production certificate in the following year, it has accumulated over 10,000 hours of safe flight.

Equipped with an optional whole-aircraft parachute system, the RX1E-A boasts a flight endurance of 150 minutes and a maximum range of 240 kilometers, highlighting its strong safety performance.

The ancient city of Kashgar, located in southwestern Xinjiang, served as a vital transportation hub connecting China with Central Asia and South Asia in ancient times. The confluence of diverse ethnic cultures in this region has given rise to a wealth of historical and cultural treasures.

Today, Kashgar has harnessed its cultural and geographical advantages, transforming into a unique tourist destination that blends history and modernity.

In the first eight months of 2024, Kashgar received over 19.5 million domestic tourists, an increase of 29.46 percent year-on-year, and generated tourism revenue of nearly 15.35 billion yuan (about 2.18 billion U.S. dollars), up 38.83 percent. (Xinhua/Zhao Yusi)

Flights between Taiyuan of Shanxi province and Singapore via Sanya of Hainan province was launched by China Eastern Airlines on Tuesday, according to the Shanghai-based carrier.





Operational every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the Taiyuan- Sanya-Singapore flight will depart from Taiyuan in the morning, stop in Sanya and arrive at Singapore's Changi Airport. The return flight will be conducted later on the same date.

The launch of the new route comes amid the hot sale of Chinese video game Black Myth: Wukong, which sparks a traveling boom in culture-rich Shanxi province.

Incomplete statistics has shown that 27 out of the 36 filming locations in the video game are in Shanxi, according to Shanghai local news portal ThePaper.cn.



The new flight looked to explore the growing people-to-people exchanges and expanding trade between China and Singapore, as well as to promote the economic, cultural exchanges and collaborations in Shanxi and Hainan. [Photos provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

From west to east, the Yangtze River runs across dozen provinces and autonomous regions in the country, illuminating the first glares of Chinese civilization and nurturing people to cultivate developed economies and cultures along the way.



To connect the various cultures thriving along the Yangtze since ancient times, Zhangjiagang, a city at the waterway's mouth, in Jiangsu province, began in 2004 a cultural festival to celebrate the vigor and diversity of the extensive regions by the river.



This year's festival opened on Sept 21 with a gala of traditional arts and shows reflecting social changes in the regions. A series of events including exhibitions, fairs, film screening and forums will introduce people to the similarities and differences of the regions. And this year has for the first time designated Qinghai province, which the Yangtze originated from, as the guest province.

A new exhibition opened on Monday at China Design Museum, China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, ahead of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which falls on Oct 1.

The exhibition, titled "Design for New China: The History of Design in the Early Years of the People's Republic of China", presents the diversity and experimental nature of early design and aims to convey the vitality and experience of China's modernization process, according to the organizers.
