Sorry for getting off topic, but this was just too good to pass up. I know there is a joke and a punchline somewhere in this story….

Xi looks so natural working the crowd and pressing skin for PR shots, just like your typical US politician on the campaign trail. Maybe he picked up more than agricultural knowledge in his 1985 study trip to Iowa?

President Xi reminds me of President Bush, he seems to have a genuine concern and love for his people, and I respect his desire to defend his country and build his military, I believe if he had a more honest counterpart on our team, they could set our countries at ease and calm the tensions that have been allowed to build up between our nations. I agree, and I like Xi, he seems to enjoy spending time with his public, and they seem to appreciate his concern. These are difficult days for any leader, and all of our peoples seem to expect government to fix their problems for them, rather than having a desire for the freedom to work out their own issues and discover their own talents. Nothing wrong with government offering a helping hand, but handing out cash tends to make "bratty children" of us all.

Agreed, but really when was the last time that matter to PLA and PAP? the number of photos of them not wearing such is almost gulling considering they want to be a modern armed force. Safety glasses are so ridiculously cheap these days and ear buds more so that it's almost criminal in my view not to issue.
Also note in the picture of the girl she is wearing service uniform. It is likely a "vetted shot".

I like to get me an EOTECH sight. The XPS 3 series uses the CR 123 battery which reduces the length and weight of the sight. Frees up 'rail estate' for other things LOL... It's NV compatible as well. I've also thinking about getting an AR from Rock River Arms. You boys ever purchase anything from them before?

Agreed. They are good for police actions and combat in structures or built up areas (urban warfare). Not enough power to penetrate a ballistic vest through.

I also agree with TerraN EmpirE. The cost of protection is cheap… Is it not manufactured in China? The ones I have here are from China, and they were very inexpensive.

Gentlemen all you need is a good pair of ear plugs when firing your weapon at the firing range. Through out my short Army career I don't recall ever using eye protection or goggles. The brass on my M16-A1 usually flies to the right side, therefore away from my eyes and face. There is a brass deflector if your left handed for the M16. Maybe it's indoors firing range that requires safety goggles.
