If it makes you feel any better this is not specific only to China. During the summer a friend of mine went to Italy and in Rome some old lady 'accidently' bumped her cart into her in a crowded place and fell down. Naturally she bend over to help etc. Before she even realized it someone no doubt in cahoots grabbed her purse that she had put down for just a moment and just nonchalantly dissappeared into the crowd.

I've known of people who were victims of pickpockets as well. Apparently pickpockets are quite common in many parts of Europe. They almost always work as a group and very seldom as lone individuals. Usually one would distract and the other commit the actual crime.

That happened to me in Italy as well.I had my wallet with €2000 in it. The travel company reimbursed me despite my not reporting the theft to the police.

This is really sad and give China a bad image. I heard from other news that the police was able to determine that the woman did not have any injury after ispection by the doctor and was able to clear the name of the foreigner, yet the foreigner still paid the woman. I think the police should arrest these kind of people, since it is causing Chinese citizens to help each other
What this actually shows is how easily selective words and pictures on the Internet can fool people. If you're aware of the newest update to this incident, you'll learn that the following has been proven by video evidence, eyewitness testimony, and police report:

1. The foreigner did hit the woman, at a crosswalk.
2. The foreigner did not have a motorcycle license.
3. The motorcycle itself does not have registration.
4. After the accident, the foreigner kept cursing at the woman using Chinese.

Now the person who initially posted the pictures and "story" has admitted that he wasn't there when the accident happened, and he has apologized to the woman.

Some competitions have a home and away game with the win we based on the aggregate score. I guess it evens up on the home town advantage.

By now Popeye probably already knows the rules of scoring in football. If you have been following this thread, his original gripe was like "how do you draw and yet still win?" ;)

Now, you have to know that Popeye is NO football fan. Although some members have tried to explained, he still can't get it. What come to his mind is that "a single game, winner takes all". This is a coincidence, American election system is also like that "winner takes all", while most European countries use aggregated system.

Believe me or not, one day in the future association football will replace American football in the United States to stand at the top of the top three. Young American will like association football more. American football will go nowhere because it is played only in the U.S.

Not sure if it will get to the top, but its popularity will no doubt continue to rise especially because association football is more multicultural and diversity in the US is increasing.
