Re: Chinese Daily Photos, Videos & News of 2012!!!

hopefully, this bridge will last longer than some bridges recently built in china...

Do you have any idea just how much bridges/roads they are building? Vast majority of them suffers no problem whatsoever, but those that do, get widely reported.

It is interesting, when accidents happen here in US, we call it accidents, when accidents happen in China, it is not just an accident, it represent some kind of political statements.

Speaking of bridges, here in the US there are a dire need to upgrade, rebuild, and building of new bridges all across America. I don't know why congress couldn't just provide more money into these important infrastructures. Can you imagine how many jobs that would provide, not to mention the steel industry in the US?

How can they circumvent Chinese steel products?

I don't think anyone can circumvent Chinese steel products. If the demand are so great than there's plenty of steel mills in the US to help control that demand. In other words the work would be so great that even Chinese and US steel mills would not be able to keep up their productions not just for domestic use, but for the entire world as well. Remember even in the Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia, U.A.E. and Qatar are also developing fast, so sub Saharan African countries.
