My expectation of 2015 for the Chinese aviation industry.

First flight of the COMAC C-919.
Beginning of production of the Shenyang J-16.
Beginning of production of the COMAC ARJ-21.
Production of the J-10B with WS-10A engines.
Continue to see production and improvements of special mission planes based off of the Y-8 and Y-9 planes.

Yes and I really hope they expand inroads into the ARJ-21 market and start to build those different variants 700,900 and freighter type aircraft

C919 will really be a milestone achievement it's a bigger and better aircraft I also hope more orders come in for both units

The mid fuselage of the China's home-grown AG600 aircraft has rolled off AVIC Xian Aircraft Industry's production line on December 29, 2014, according to Huanqiu.com.

The AG600, once completed, is set to become the largest amphibious aircraft in the world.

The AG 600 is primarily used for firefighting over vast areas and over-water Search and Rescue (SAR). According to AVIC, the aircraft's first flight will be at the end of 2015.

I have a question, resulting from the same post in a German Forum. Several guys there - some including Airbus members - were surprised or even astonished that this prototype is currently nearly still completely empty !! :eek: Even although it is certainly is "only" a prototype, but when the A320 fuselages were mated to the wings - and also at the production line in Tanjin - the hull is already significantly more equipped.

Their argument or question is therefore above all, why is so much missing and especially any form of wiring? The bird appears to be completely empty. And derived from this observation, why did they went so much a different way to assemble the prototype of the C919 especially if they have all the knowledge of the sequence of the A320? o_O

In mind of these remarks they all expect some severe delays .... :confused:

HAIG workers have been improving their skills and Airbus helicopters have been closely seeing the production of EC-175s in China. China News Network wrote an article last month about the development and training in one of their workshops. A supervised team found riveting the angular body platform challenging but very experience worthy. There are some light details about the close cooperation with the French side, developing workers skills, and quality control. The article is in Chinese btw.

I read somewhere that the initial prototype will take longer to assemble as they are making sure that all the parts fit together properly. Later planes will not take as long to assemble.
Didn't the initial A380 have problems with wiring that slowed down the introduction of the planes? If initial prototypes are pre stuffed and something goes wrong does that make it longer to fix than if they take their time and do things methodicly?

PT01 was assembled last year about a full year ago so this could be PT02 they are working on now or maybe it's even been a few months old who knows when this pic was taken

If it's been a year for PT01 the I would expect by now a maidan flights or some sort of unveiling

Let's hope we see Z-15 fly in 2015 and it would be a awesome addition to the Type 054 CG of it is, giving the Type 055 2 x Z-15 helos would be very powerful in addition to rotary UAV

Its fantastic that China's aerospace industries are moving forward. But you have to question some of their projects. What on earth do they need such a big amphibious plane for ? The PLA may order a handfull but then who else ?

What ? I thought that the Z-15 had its first flight back in 2009. They are only starting to build the prototypes now ? And since there is such heavy foreign involvement in this project do you still think the PLA would still use this platform since there are other platforms for them like the Z-18 and the Z-20 that doesn't have foreign involvement. At least not that we know of.
