Hi guys ... just a maybe stupid question - or maybe it's simply the heat here out there (yesterday we had nearly 36 °C) - but could it be that the last few weeks have been quite calm ??? ... or to say even boring ?!!
There were no new images from the J-20 or even Y-20 ... not to speak about news from the Z-20. Even the serial J-10B, J-11 and J-15 to J-16 news dropped to nearly nothing. There are no true news about the JL-10 (ok. we simply ignore the Baby Eagly CJ-7) nor anything from the Liaoning or the new carrier.
Is this simply due to the summer ... or is the CHinese Aerospace Industry just taking a deep, deep brath for the next mayor surprises later this year ???

There was some report a couple months ago that said the government was clamping down on military leaks. The reason why we haven't seen any new pics lately maybe a result of that.
To admit I did not hear anything about this rumour and even if I can understand that new policy I would deeply regret this development.
Anyway here at the SDF we will find out the most interesting things anyway ... maybe only a bit later then.

Was it a news report, and if so, could you provide a link?
I recall seeing a photo of an internal memo to AVIC employees a few months ago, warning them against taking interior photos of military production facilities. That same notice apparently mentioned the firing of some employees deemed responsible for earlier leaks.
I have no idea if the memo is genuine. In any event, it made no mention of prohibiting photography outside the premises. I assume it's still OK to stand outside and take photos of J-20 and other fighters undergoing test flights.

I read it on the internet. I don't remember where. At first I didn't think about it much because what immediately popped-up in my head was it was just a counter to US charges of espionage or was there a Chinese Edward Snowden or Wikileaks spilling secrets we haven't heard about. If that was the case, it would've been probably big headlines. So I didn't think it was a legitimate story. Later I noticed it too like Deino that we haven't seen anything new lately and that's literally everything. It was right in the middle of the 055 mockup pics and then they suddenly stopped. I don't think they were done and now all of the sudden no more pics. Then I recalled that story on clamping down of military leaks. Being in the US it didn't cross my mind that these fan enthusiast pics would be considered military leaks but maybe that's what that article I saw was talking about.

I think i've seen similar stuff. It mainly came out after some of the pictures from inside the factories leaked out.
