AVIC posted this to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of what is now the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation. Founded in 1951 as the classified 112 Factory, it is the oldest aircraft manufacturer in the People's Republic of China.

I've been thinking about that as well. Lots of possibilities, distributed electric propulsion for example is very promising. Also there're a lot of electric vtol projects that could really benefit from hybrid.
In fact I had a similar idea but wasn't sure ... do you know when we have seen it before?

The common denominator in this image is year of maiden flights and aircraft types. The exception is this mysterious unknown aircraft. If this image is legit from AVIS, IMO they could be implying without words that the next aircraft type maiden flight is near, may be within this year?

A brief search on postings in drone thread came out with this image. May be it is a UCAV (loyal wingman?) that was spotted on the ground some times ago. Abeit the H-6MW CG image's drone shapes do not match that of AVIC exactly.

that 73rd anniversary picture have only aircrafts, so it cannot be a UAV.. it is definitely an aircraft or supersonic Bomber..
one more thing. Chengdu/Shenyang and Xian are Tier1 aircraft manufacturer. so far Shenyang didn't develop a single UAV..
