Too bad the CNC machine is Japanese. Domestic versions aren't good enough i guess

COMAC delivered the fourth ARJ 21 - 700 to Chengdu Aviation. So far, ARJ 21 - 700 gained a safe flight totaling more than 1200 hours and grew to 33 thousand visitors. Since the commercial flight the boarding rate has remained high at 90%.

AVIC plans to apply for airworthiness certification with the United States' Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency so the plane can enter the Western market.

Specifications from AVIC show that powered by two PW150C engines, the MA700 has a maximum takeoff weight of 27.6 metric tons, a maximum payload of 8.6 tons, a cruise speed of 580 kilometers per hour as well as a standard range of 1,500 km. It will be capable of carrying up to 86 passengers.

Interesting 185 orders in the bag !

But I think development has been bit slow ?

Even considering MA600 has been around for years

ARJ21 total 433 orders
C919 total 785 orders

Total 1403

This alone should secure success
