SJ-16 and SJ-6 are all SIGINT/ELINT. Shiyan 6-1/2/3 (for optical surveillance of artificial space objects), Shiyan-13, Shiyan 20A 20B 20C, Shiyan-23 (equipped with a panoramic visible-range detection system) are LEO SSA satellites.

A Long March 3B has successfully launched Experimental Communication Technology Satellite No. 17 into orbit. The satellite will be used to verify broadband satellite communication technology. This was the 569th flight of the Long March series.

Why do they build these testing stations in such beautiful untouched forested areas?

So nobody can complain "risking lives of people"? Unlike the past, today nobody is allowed to expand their villages into forest areas after property and owership boundries are clearly settled by law.
