Led by CALT, the Long March 8Y2 carrier rocket operated by China Rocket Co., Ltd. arrived in Wenchang by transport ship on April 6 and has now completed delivery to the launch site. The Long March 8Y2 rocket is scheduled to carry out its Y2 mission in mid-2025. This mission will also mark the rocket's first launch from Pad 1 at the Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site in Hainan.

Y2 (yao 2, 遥二) was lauched in 2022. The latest launch was Y6 in March 2025, so the next has to be Y7.

At 0:47 on April 11, 2025, the Communication Technology Experimental Satellite No. 17 (TJS17) was launched by the Long March 3B carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The satellite accurately entered the predetermined orbit and the launch mission was a complete success.

Latest update on the Tianlong-3 launch vehicle. According to the VP of Tianbing, Tianlong-3 will attempt its maiden flight in June of 2025.

The planned launch of Tianlong-3 has been moved right by one to two months, to July or August.
