Yet another private launch company.

箭元科技/SEPOCH is currently working on a series of re-usable LOX/methane launch vehicles, which the company named "Traveller" (行者). Recently, SEPOCH has successfully completed pressure tests on its L-3 (3-meter diameter) and L4 (4-meter diameter) liquid propellant tanks.

The first rocket in the Walker series –– 元行者一号, literally the First Traveller –– has a capacity of 6.5 tons to SSO and can be used 20 times.

Takeaway from CZ-5B deputy chief Liu Bing:
新一代载人运载火箭:预计2027年具备首飞条件
921 will make its maiden launch in 2027, so most likely China will make moon landing in either 2029 or 2030.
重型运载火箭:不再设有助推器,预计2030年前后首飞
Old CZ-9 design is completely scrapped, maiden launch will be around 2030. I doubt it is possible to be that fast if they go with 200t methane engine plan.

We are so spoiled by the recent accomplishments, I am losing memory in how was feeling when China was left out of the ISS program. I remember on some day in 1998, when one of my coworkers was putting a large ISS post on his office wall and was proudly bragging how great ISS was going to be. I was speechless.

Now I have opposite trepidation in that, I am asking my self, what it actually means when both CZ9 and 921 make successful maiden flights. Two state-of-the-art super-heavy lifters, from a single country, who once was so looked down from the ISS partners as well as the Galileo partners.

China seems to make CZ5 series and CZ3 series as reliable work horses since CZ5 out of reset. I feel trepidation now just thinking of that possibility, when CZ9 and 921 function like CZ5 today. I am not even talking about reusable platforms. Competition is good to human civilization.

Is that for the full stack version or the LEO version?

If they go with the 24x 240t kerolox plan that seems to be the most recent iteration, then I would say it is pretty viable.

Probably the most significant event at Zhuhai this year is confirming that the new CZ-9 with VTVL reusability for first stage is now the primary one being pursued.

(Picture related, but other pics and videos and articles from last few days also exist)
