That's what I'm saying, that they're quite reckless. It doesn't cost much to strengthen the clamps to give a good safety margin, they skimped where they shouldn't. From safety standpoint, even if the rocket blow up on the stand is still much much preferable then this.
Having said that I don't think the company deserved to be crucified as some angry member here expressed, a large part of the responsibilities lies with government regulatory department to make sure things like this doesn't happen again.
With the number of private space enterprises in China now it is unrealistic to expect each and everyone of them will have perfect internal discipline, it is up to the government to provide clear and precise regulation to keep everyone following the rule
