A new engine testing center has broken ground in Laiyuan county in Hebei province. The center will be operated by the 101st Institute of the Sixth Academy of CASC. Once finished, it will house comprehensive testing facilities for cryogenic liquid rocket engines up to 500-tons of thrust. First to come online later this year is a testbed for liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen (Lox/LH2) cryogenic engines.

An update on the new engine testing center. Both the main test bench and the measurement and control center have been topped out. A test will be carried out on the main test bench next month.

The new 500-ton test bench at Laiyuan successfully carried out an engine test run last month.

Interesting. Where is the test site? It is in an open area, not the same as YF-100 test site that we have seen before (in a valley). Also worth to note that the total thrust reached was 382t, so it is a big test stand probably 500t class.

I don't where this is.

Apparently, that test bench was built in 2012 and was used in the development of Long March 5, 6, and 7. I don't know the specific location.

The first-stage of Long March 10 will have a reusable version. Land and sea recovery tests have both been carried out using scaled models. In addition to the manned lunar mission, Long March 10 will also be used to carry cargo to the Chinese space station and deploy payloads to LEO.
If LM10 is going to be human-rated to carry men to the moon, wouldn't also be used to ferry crew to the space station? i.e. to replace Shenzhou?

I think this is the plan and given the larger sized capsule, probably an enlarged future space station.
