Docking -

Unlike Wentian, transposition of the Mengtian module will commence shortly after docking. As such, the taikonauts will only enter Mengtian when the final T-shape configuration is complete.

This news is significant. China intends to relaunch their next generation crew capsule. Akin to NASA’s Orion.

I think it is Orion program being very un-impressive by dragging 6 years between the two tests. The more than 2.5 year gap between the two launches of China's new spacecraft is very relaxed schedule.

For reference, Shenzhou had 4 launches in 3 years before Yang Liwei rode it. One of the launches was unscheduled, being inserted because a problem was found, so the plan was 3 launches in 3 years, the gap being 1 year. That may be aggressive, so I expect 3 year being a very relaxed schedule.

Any Info about the purpose of the launch? Nasa is launching Orion around the moon while I don't think Long March 5B can launch NGCS to the moon. Are they going to repeat the the previous mission? testing long endurance flight? or even test docking with Tianggong?

What if instead of the third stage they put the next gen spacecraft on top of LM-5 like this? Pretty good way to emulate the single stack version of LM-5G.
