The space suit for manned lunar landing has entered the development stage -

Yang Liwei, deputy chief designer of China's manned space program, said in an interview with CCTV that preliminary preparations for the lunar landing mission have already been carried out. For example, in the selection of the fourth batch of astronauts, the knowledge structure and training projects will be considered in the direction of future moon landings. Now that we have entered the space station, we are completely in a microgravity environment.

When we come to the moon in the future, there will be one-sixth of the gravity, which requires human coordination and operability (there are requirements), because in space we have to operate a lunar rover.

Yang Liwei also listed the criteria for selecting astronauts for manned lunar landing

they must have rich flight experience and experience, and they must have excellent psychological quality.

More presentation slides on the solid motors.

The 1.2m-diameter and 2m-diameter single-segment motors are currently being used on the Jielong-1 and Long March 11, respectively. The 2.6m-diameter single-segment motor is used on the Jielong-3, Lijian-1, and Gravity-1 launch vehicles. The 2m-diameter two-segment motor is used on the strap-on boosters of Long March 6.

The 3m- and 3.2m-diameter two-segment motors have been successfully hot-tested on the ground.

The 3.5m-diameter motor (up to five segments) is newly developed, which aims to fulfill needs in the thrust range of 500-1500 tons. It's expected to be used on the Jielong-4 launch vehicle and strap-on boosters for super-heavy lift vehicles.
