It depends on how you see things. SpaceX is a company, CASC is a company, in 2022, they launched

CASC is slightly lower than SpaceX, while China's total lauch is also slightly lower than US. So I don't really see SpaceX being outstandingly impressive, at least not compared to CASC. It is just that all other US company are so crappy that makes SpaceX a monopoly of US launch market.
How do the two countries compare in mass launched per year? I think that's a more accurate measure of total space capabilities.

A Long March 2D is set to launch 41 satellites into orbit, which will be a new Chinese record for the number of satellites launched in a single flight. The satellites span four different models, including eight Gaofen-03D and 30 Gaofen-06A satellites. The launch will bolster the Jilin-1 remote sensing network to 108 satellites.

High-resolution images from the launch, which put 41 Jilin-1 optical remote-sensing satellites into orbit and broke the Chinese record for the largest number of satellites launched on a single rocket. Interestingly, it took China only eight days to break the previous record. This mission marks the 476th flight of the Long March series.
