Would be nice if something like this can be built . If China can master maglev under vacuum I can see this achievable.
That wind tunnel test looks suspiciously like the H2 space plane:There's been a lot of work on space vehicles. There may be many different variants and launching methods for different space vehicles.
From 2019.
And the one from 2007.
So there have been many tests. There were other links for various tests on this forum from years ago. Surprised they are still doing preliminary tests but my understanding is this LM-2 launched vehicle is yet another type designed for LM series delivery.
Most of these are expected to be anti-satellite in capability and probably also some could be designed to serve as emergency satellite replacements if Chinese observation satellites are destroyed in war.
Air resistance is only one problem. The other much bigger problem is the gravity, therefor extreme force on the spacecraft when accelerating. It is impossible on earth with today's technology.Would be nice if something like this can be built . If China can master maglev under vacuum I can see this achievable.
