China's SCS Strategy Thread

Looks like so far CCG is holding the line, two PCG ships intercepted and sent running east of renaijiao.

This is excellent news. The entire renaijiao needs to be protected from any foreign intruders, I heard supplies in the derelict ship are dwindling fast, perhaps after a month all its occupants will have to surrender to the Chinese CCG or face starvation.

Once the derelict ship has been vacated by the occupiers China will have to build up a permanent outpost in Renaijiao to secure Chinese sovereignty in the area. The next phase should be to secure all the other outlying shoals to the east as these are still within the Nánhǎi Duànxùxiàn borders

The point is to prevent building materials from reaching that ship, not food and water. That was the case with the water cannon incident too.

Although the derelict ship is in bad shape, without repairs, it could still accommodate PH personnel for a couple more years, the problem with this is that the PH get to keep their presence in the area and the stand off will continue indefinitely which gives PH's backers (US) more propaganda points by using the incident to smear China in front of the world.

So the Islands are Chinese or not? I think China should evict the Pinoys from these reefs, look what they claim

I don't know if China made a deal with the PH to allow the resupply mission to move forward, but if there is, I think China got duped after the malicious official statements that have been released by the PH side afterward.

I heard that ASEAN and China are meeting on September 5 to approve the second reading of the SCS Code of Conduct??
Once the Conduct is passed, status quo up to that moment will be maintained. So grab what you can NOW before the signing of the Code of Conduct.
Maybe it is a ploy of the PH government to attempt a fait accompli to claim the Shoal as its own.
