Scientists hold US nuclear tests responsible for South China Sea radioactivity

  • Researchers say radioactive pollutants from Marshall Islands testing in the Cold War are still arriving on Pacific Ocean currents
  • One expert suggests China could join other countries demanding the US repair environmental damage caused by its massive nuclear programme

According to the video commentary, US presence in the PH will allow the US to secure the other half of China's coastal regions and threaten Chinese military assets both in the South China Sea and southern mainland China with long-range munitions deployed in multiple bases in the PH archipelago.

It seems the US is not wasting time in its rush to militarize the first island chains surrounding China. It would be best if China acts fast and secure more territories in the South China Sea before the US consolidates its hold in the adjacent areas.

I don't wanna go Reddit but PLAAF and PLARF would have their own words about US securing anything in SCS. It is beyond me how people think China has to be fast or something like that when it is outbuilding the US even on a totalistic basis, let alone Asia-Pacific basis.
The only development here is the Philippines is risking its electricity grid. China wouldn't spare a few hundred subsonic cruise missiles after re-unification for a punitive campaign.

A few thousand piston-based cruise missiles should be sufficient.

Reagan CSG has entered the South China Sea, confirming the prediction by the weibo post I linked yesterday (I made a typo yesterday and accidentally wrote Nimitz CSG).
Hope Duan Dang posts those satellite pics up soon.

Chinese naval training ship Qi Jiguang arrives in Manila.

Its time for the Philippines to make a choice.

Apparently the Japanese helicopter carrier JS Izumo is also in the SCS.

Satellite pic caught USS Reagan doing a tight turn, maybe China is dialing up the response, especially since Blinken is in China.

BTW does anyone know what's RemoteSensingDong's background, is he related to SCSPI/Chinese orgs or just a hobbyist with a satellite subscription?

I've heard several times, claims that the SCS island bases that China has built are "sinking" and take a lot of resources to maintain. Is there any truth to this or is it just Western social media propagandists pushing these claims? If there is some truth to it, what's China doing to maintain its islands there?
