@Bellum_Romanum bro BBM is weak just like Duterte predicted and I regret voting for him, IF he is going to buy US helicopter the $100 million grant is not enough he should ask for more instead of alienating Russia who steadfast support us during the Marawi crisis by offering weapons free of charge.

He didn't know how to bargain, with the current geopolitical situation we had the leverage and having more friend is an asset. He should proceed with the deal and ask America to match it , in this way the American will be on their toe and will not blackmailed us as we pursue with our independent foreign policy.

Correct bro I just can't comprehend his way of thinking, why give away your crucial leverage against the American? why go all the way with Collective West weaponry while pursuing our Independent Foreign Policy? Can't they understand the meaning of Sanction that will completely immobilizing our defense needs if we don't follow their diktat? It seems that Marcos Jr. is trying to appease the Americans more along with the Liberals and Pinklawans more than the base of supporters that overwhelmingly voted for him.

He wants to desperately be liked by America, and it seems that the hard life lesson in geopolitics that his own family as best exemplified from his father's relationship and betrayal by the U.S. has been lost on the son.

There have been some ramblings made by prominent bloggers/vloggers in the Philippines making some accusations that the President's wife is the one successfully pushing for the pro-American tilt and that's also pushing to rehabilitate the pinklawan politicians some of whom are the President's wife's family relative. No bro, She is an Araneta therefore not a pinklawan, my thinking it was his cousin the Filipino ambassador to the US Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez who work behind the scene. During Duterte time, Locsin deftly handle the situation, there is one voice, one policy and one action, plus he had the character to put his view across to every gov't institution and official, The current Foreign Secretary is weak.

Locsin, should have been retained to the position of Foreign Affairs Secretary as way for Duterte or Sarah to have some clout for their support knowing how squishy it seems Marcos Jr. seems to be the case. I don't know much or little influence his current National security advisor with regards to this matter but I would not past Dr. Carlos to maybe pushed this on her President. We'll have to give this recent action by Marcos Jr. sometime to see how it unfolds good or bad for the country.
