You can hardly imagine that the United States is still writing such absurd "novels" in 2022.

This "novel" depicts the U.S. Navy assisting the Philippines in fighting against Chinese " insurgent" on the sea.
I don't fully understand the English vocabulary, but Americans seem to think of the PRC as a large illegal organization.

In the story, the Americans imagined that the Chinese would let the militia drive fishing boats to launch attacks. We have enough law enforcement ships. I don't understand why we do this.
"On the cruiser, Maliah personally helped produce the footage that was soon broadcast across the world, demonstrating the PRC’s aggression and the firm commitment of the U.S. to its allies and partners, bringing more members into the coalition."

This story can be regarded as an extension of this plan.

The Americans still haven't given up their plan to "enforce the law" in the South China Sea.
I give them a suggestion: the U.S. Navy can directly let the fleet enter the Bohai Sea, and then send a special force to arrest Chinese leaders to the United States for trial.
Since Americans want to crack down on "insurgency", it's better to directly arrest China's largest "insurgency" leader.
Idea for a comedy video: Install cameras on cargo ships and underwater mountains in the SCS

This is a very good development. But I would suggest that Marcos increase his security just in case the US decides to get rid of him like what they did to Abe.
Then that would create hell, death, and destruction to people dumb shit enough to assassinate the most popular president of the Philippines (based on his total votes) not to mention that Sarah Duterte is next in line which is even more pro-China politician. So if they're dumb enough to kill Marcos and is revealed to be the works of U.S. aligned groups then they can kiss the VFA goodbye for good.

@PhSt @Bellum_Romanum bro we'll see , the Filipinos are courteous people BUT we must see which BBM visited first, The Aquinos both mother and son , when they assume office, they both have their political pilgrimage to the US first. From what I know BBM will follow the pattern BUT not as an official state visit, He might attend the UNGA in New York. Since he's there he might as well confer with the American official and as they sell him their Hegemonic policy.

Would not exclude the murderous CIA, its allied agents to take drastic action to eliminate Marcos. B B Marcos you and family please take extreme care as the world murderer would not like to see your country in harmony and in good terms with your neigbouring country China, and prosper.

Again, having been to the Philippines and know people there in politics both nationally (tangential connection) and locally, the Philippine political landscape has been turn upside down by the Duterte victory and presidency that mind you left with a high favorability rating and popularity. With the election of Marcos Jr. supported by the most overwhelming votes in that country's history should tell you that Marcos getting killed will simply destroy any remaining American credibility will be utterly erased, excised once and for all. Duterte the VP will have the most power to eviscerate at will any remaining American stooges that may have even given a hint of support for the usual typical American "human rights" agenda.

You can bet bottom dollar/Yuan that Chinese intelligence along with maybe the Russians to assist or root out any American vestige in the Philippines for strategic reasons since am certain that situation as you fear happening would be at great advantage for China to rid herself of her enemies once former strategic stronghold.

So it came to this, the Philippine gov't under Duterte support the Sultan claimed and may have help providing legal support, so what will the American do? the Malaysian had stake its support to the US precisely to avoid this thing happening. Internally Malaysia is ripe for balkanization, with weak leaders bereft of national purpose. Here's my opinion, I'm not a Malaysian so I'm speculating here and I want our Malaysian members to share their inputs, will it fragmented? From our side, we view the locals in Sabah ungovernable as most of the ABU SAYAF members came from there, criss-crossing the boundary with smuggling , drug trade and kidnapping as a source of livelihood.

From Song Hong (PAKISTAN DEFENSE FORUM)

KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 — Authorities in Luxembourg have seized the assets of two Petronas subsidiaries on behalf of heirs of the defunct Sulu sultanate seeking to enforce an arbitration ruling they previously secured against Malaysia.

According to the Financial Times, bailiffs in Luxembourg seized the holding companies and related assets that were valued at over US$2 billion (RM8.9 billion).

Lawyers acting for the heirs had applied for Luxembourg to seize the assets to enforce an arbitration ruling they secured in France, which ordered Malaysia to pay US$14.9 billion to the descendants of the Sulu sultan.

In 2017, descendants of the Sulu sultanate started legal action for compensation over an 1878 lease for land in Sabah that had been signed with a British trading company.

In February, arbitrator Gonzalo Stampa found that Malaysia violated the 1878 agreement and ordered the country to pay the compensation, which it has refused to acknowledge.

The descendants claim that due to this violation they owned the land and had initially wanted to claim US$32.2 billion from Malaysia.

This was to recover the unpaid cession money along with how much they believe they should have been paid for the oil and gas found in the region.

The case was originally heard in Madrid until the Madrid High Court (Tribunal Superior de Justica de Madrid) annulled Stampa’s appointment on grounds that Malaysia was not properly informed about the case and was thus “defenceless”.

One prominent arbitration lawyer told the FT that the French ruling was unprecedented, as the agreement in dispute predated the formation of Malaysia in 1963.

The FT reported that the two units, Petronas Azerbaijan (Shah Deniz) and Petronas South Caucasus, were managing Petronas’ interests in Azerbaijan and the move to seize them was due to the disputed non-payments of oil royalties.

China’s heavily promoted pandemic aid, especially the supply of vaccines when these were in very short supply from the West, won gratitude from regional elites. China’s high-level bilateral and regional diplomacy kept up a brisk pace while the region’s other major partners were focused at home. China’s ability to contain the pandemic in 2020 and 2021 and keep its economy open lifted bilateral trade, positioning China as the road to economic recovery.
