Thank you for informing us that Duterte is no American stooge. He certainly has back bone and has Philippines best interest at heart.
This is it. China and every countries (except Viet nam maybe). in the SCS just wanted to get on. We know we have our various claims and differences . We also know we ain't ever going to solve those. So it's best for now to agree to disagree. It is certain actors cough US and their stoogies that wants to upset the apple cart. Because it is in their interest to do so.
The SCS issues has been fruitful for China and Philippines since Duterte taking over the presidency. Does anyone remember how relationship between the two countries were under aquino? Its poisonous!
@Gatekeeper Sir let me give you an update then my prediction, Lately our political scene is heating up, former allies of Duterte is turning against him, like Manny Pacquiao who is a political butterfly and wanted to be President, He is being cajole by the US, which he is very fond of, making most of his fortune in Vegas, He thinks his popularity being the peoples champ can eclipse that of Duterte, he miscalculate and now the ruling party may dispose him from the party. Due to the weakness of the opposition party, the US is struggling to find a viable candidate and their only recourse is to intervene and dispose the President from within his own party or by a coup so that our FAKE VP can take over. Both option are not feasible cause Duterte is so popular and the people trusted him. The question is why would Pacquiao attack Duterte, well he wanted to preempt him from endorsing Bong Bong Marcos as his prefer Presidential candidate together with his daughter Sarah as VP, both were not from his own party. Like what I had posted before Duterte want continuity, he wanted his successor to continue his reform and pet project, he wanted to establish his legacy and he know Pacquiao is an idiot and will put the Philippine back to the stone age.
Tomorrow july 17 the party will vote to oust Pacquiao and Duterte will announce his intention to run as VP. The PDP Laban his political party will splinter but will remain the dominant party in the country. The splintered group including Pacquiao are so few in numbers that all of them can fit inside a Van...lol . It will be the end of Pacquiao career as a politician especially if he lose this coming fight in September. Now Why would Duterte declare his intention to run as VP, to preempt his opponent from making him a lame duck, to push his legislative agenda and to hold the Party together, he will then guided and endorsed his prefer choice for President and VP and withdraw his nomination, Making him the king maker. Politics in my country is personality driven, politician wanted to be President needed to be in the limelight to be notice. The best way to do it is attack the most popular person in the country which is the President.

Plus a very apt description of Pacquiao's intellectual dyslexia. The man is acting like he's running for the Presidency because of his God's calling I.e. divine providence. F..ng insane.
@Bellum_Romanum bro we had a lot of politician and celebrity with the same attitude and character so Pacqiuao case is common, (that is why Duterte is unique). I blame us the public for showering him praises that he didn't deserve, swelling his ego that led him to become a narcissist. His successes people with vested interest galvanized to him like a leech, being gullible they take advantage of him, earning a lot in the process and some even siphon of his earnings. This coming boxing match is a strategic move to bolster his Presidential campaign (if he win) and also a fund raising effort, what I read is that he is having trouble with his investment and needed this fight for financial reason.
What he didn't expect is that in this current situation the populace can discern, The masses now demand performance (Duterte legacy) as a matrix for higher office and looking at his record as a Senator its abysmal , #1 in tardiness , no bills filed , as in nothing .His political style is like that of a TRAPO (Traditional Politician) which we repudiated, his recent performance (accusation against Duterte) had shown his lack of understanding on issues, quick on the draw, simply pathetic and become a laughing stock. He only embarrassed himself and for me its a good thing, now he had shown his true colors and its ugly, He reminded us of Joseph Estrada and his administration which is our National Trauma and wish to wash it away permanently.

Cusi was among those expelled from the party in early July amid the growing rift between his faction and that of Pacquiao.
Earlier on Saturday, the party declared all its national positions vacant.
" Assembly declared all positions vacant and committee chairs vacant," PDP-Laban Deputy Secretary General said.
"We want to formalize it and the basis for declaring these posts vacant is that provision in the Constitution that the national officers only serve for two years. We want to seek a fresh mandate for all," he added.
Among the 16 positions declared as vacant by the PDP-Laban national assembly is the president, a position Pacquiao held.
"He (Pacquiao) took over the term of Sen. (Aquilino) Pimentel. Who is also a holdover. That is why we question the legality. Paso na lahat positions (All positions are," Matibag said.
"The council or assembly did not expel anyone. The constitution states that the term of officers is only two years. And everyone is a holdover. Ang ouster kasi has a different connotation. We only use words of the PDP constitution," he added.
Pacquiao is PDP-Laban's national president while Pimentel serves as the executive vice chairman.
Pacquiao expelled Cusi, Matibag and , head of the membership committee, for allegedly violating provisions of the party's constitution "by showing allegiance to a political party apart from PDP-Laban."
