If it comes down to it, no asian nation can deny the US from forcibly invading and making their country into missile bases against China. Dont delude yourself thinking you can resist the US, or that your government, that will be heavily pressured by the US at that point and/or sanctioned to hell, WILL EVEN WANT to resist.

This will be like Belgium during the Nazi Invasion of France all over again.
You cant stop it, you cant fight it, and the US wont care if they have to murder millions of you and take millions more of you hostage to make your country into their staging ground.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but when great powers fight, there is no mercy for the small guy. Especially not if this is a fight for the survival of american hegemony; something on which the living standards of 300+ million US citizens vitally depends on every single day.

Someone needs to convince the Taiwanese that they are only needed by the west to absorb Chinese/western munition to protect western interest in the pacifi. All of this has basically public said by generals, politicians and think-tanks in regards to keeping China surrounded in the first island chain. Maybe they will actually flip if they knew the real truth. Maybe some can say the CCP rule is not the greatest, but it is a lot better than your end goal of being just canon foddler

Taiwanese elites will escape to the US long before the first PLA munitions fall. The rest of them will be killed, if not by the PLA then by the US counter-invasion. Same will happen to the Philippines, Indonesians, Malaysians, hell, even the Vietnamese.

You guys do not realize how important american hegemony is for the continued living standards and GDP of the US. How do you think the US is capable of printing trillions of USD to escape any and every economic crisis of their own doing? Because of the hegemony of the USD enforced by their military hegemony around the world. It's like a ponzi-scheme. If one world-region ends US military or economic hegemony, all others will follow and the largely impoverished US population cannot continue living beyond their means anymore; civil disorder of untold scale will ensue and the US will cease to exist as a state.

We have to understand that killing China is the ONLY way out for the US. The ONLY way for them to survive. Hell, the full and utter genocide of the Mainland Chinese people is literally the panacea for ALL of american ills.

In the coming war, noone will be spared. The US will sacrifice every single non-american for the good of their own people.
We need to realize that we cannot disconnect the existence of the American people from the existence of their hegemonic state. American lives, the survival of Little Timmy living in Wisconsin, depends on Chinese people dying in pain and misery for the sake of continued american hegemony.

The Chinese-American Conflict is a deeply personal and deeply racial conflict. There are no innocent bystanders.

Of course when it comes down to it, there is nothing indonesian military can do, they will be outgunned from the start
But what happens next is what matters, indonesian topography is mountanious jungle, and the tni is pretty good at jungle warfare, the us will likely face protracted insurgency vietnam war style while at the same time fighting the PLA
It will be more trouble than it worth setting up forward deployment base in indonesia

Then these US elites have only two options. 1) Try to swim upstreams aka try to outcompete an opponent that has 4X the manpower and productive forces deployed, shooting blanks like printing paper money like crazy. 2) Go with the flow, be a responsible partener for global peace, stability and prosperity. I have discussed this with my indonesian source, he said any attempts by the us or anyone to forcefully land forces in indonesia will be met by force
Not like the military have a choice, if this aggression is not challenged, the youth students will join forces with the islamic factions within indonesia they will riot and declare jihad especially if this america a christian country, it will be a nightmare of social unrests and islamic extremism will rise again
Any indonesian president who agreed to let indonesian territory be used as a military facility base for any country will be coup by the military
This will backfire really badly for americans if they seriously contemplating this

There is a precedent to this. For example the USA and UK invaded Iceland back in WW2.
But yes I doubt a country like Indonesia would just stand back and let them invade.

The point still remains that the US will not accept dramatic loss of their living standards and power by China's rise.

I kind of hate it how Disney fairy tales made the "Quest for Power" into a such irrational and immoral thing for people, leading them to disregard it as a very real and legitimate reason for committing genocide and wars to its defence.

The reality is that the US literally lives and dies with their continued hegemony of the world. Even innocent little Timmy's life depends on it. Whether he will get his happy-meal or his college loan, all of it depends on whether america can suppress China and continue to extract profits and resources from the world through their military dominance.
China's "mistake" is that its very EXISTENCE is challenging this American dominance. So, China's existence is challenging Little Timmy's rights to have a happy meal and to have a college education and to own a home and to own a dog and a car.

Do you seriously think that the US will tolerate the existence of China at this rate? No! The US will kill your child, destroy your country and murder your wife and your mother so that Little Timmy can have his American Dream.
That's normal and very moral and ethical. If I was an American President, I also would never hesitate murdering a billion Chinese people, mothers, fathers, children, brothers and sisters so that Little Timmy can have his Happy Meal, can order his 10 Cheeseburgers only to eat one and throw away 9 of them because he was full. Any American President is forced to do anything in his power to kill you non-american family so that his people may live in luxury and plenty.

Let go of your illusions and prepare for war.

It's literally either we or them.

And as a Chinese, I prefer that Little ChangChang lives and can order his 10 Lanzhou Lamien than Little Timmy can order his 10 Hamburgers.

indonesia is barely a secular country, with islamic extremism boiled just below the surface, many muslims consider indonesia a caliphate, and nationalism is a big thing in indonesia, an american aggression will combine these two forces like jet fuel to fire
The only country that i think america might be able to "persuade" is english speaking singapore
