Its quite a disturbing development since such actions can escalate to profiling and the normalization of general racism towards Chinoys. This is despite the fact that a significant portion of the PH economic growth is due to the contribution of Chinese Filipinos.
Even more concerning, is that it seems the majority of Chinese Filipinos are in a state of disunity, I don't see any powerful Chinese Filipino lobby group in the PH that can apply its influence on the government to stop Sinophobic actions such as this incident.
What are your thoughts on this? Will there ever be a time when Chinese Filipinos will push for their rights and have their voices heard? Its just frustrating to see how the current PH government is resorting to Sinophobic tactics to push its destructive agenda, which is most likely encouraged by the US.
