Considering their food situation, CCG simply encircling them and preventing supplies is nice going. Back in the civil war days when PLA has ROC troops encircled they would deliberately steam meat buns upwind to let the smell drift into the other camp, then when the buns are ready yell across no man's land to tell them to drop their weapon and come over for food.

How tf did they run out of food, they're literally in the middle of the ocean surrounded by fish? You don't even need rod and reel, just dive down to the shoal and spear some seafood.
