Interesting to see CCG switching tactics to more forceful collisions instead of relying on water cannons. Damaging Filipino ships seems like a pretty efficient way of imposing costs without much risk of escalation. Repairing those ships costs time and money, and PCG doesn't have very many of them either. Needless to say, CCG has many more ships and much better access to shipyards.

Western reporters were onboard, still waiting for their footage ;)
See the thing about Filipinos is that they're really incompetent; when it comes to Asians, nobody beats the Philippines at incompetence; there's not even a rival. I wouldn't be surprised if they needed time to edit it because the original clip had the captain sitting there dozing off and then someone goes, "Yo wake up; you about hit that!" And he wakes up disoriented button mashing the controls before the ships collided. And then, they sent that clip to editing except the sender was Filipino so he accidentally emailed it to the Chinese embassy instead. After the Chinese embassy called back and he realized he screwed up, he immediately deleted the email from his sent folder because he assumes that deletes it from the recipient's inbox as well. He finally delivered it to the video editor telling him to hide the part about the captain sleeping... but the editor was also Filipino so when they got it back, they saw that he just added cat meows to cover up the "wake up" command and he put a Garfield sticker over the captain's seat. So... they need more time with it.
