For reference Russian life expectancy dropped 4 years from 1991 to 1994. USA dropped 2.5 year over 3 years.
At 78.2 China is getting the vibe of a developed country already. Of course, surpassing pre-covid USA(78.5) is not an end goal. China should aim to get above 80 eventually about 82 which is roughly around developed countries with functional health care.
Russian dropped due to working age mass migration to West. there are i think 6 million Russian speaking in Germany alone.
US has various communities some of the are not only well off but scientifically highly educated. so there expectancy will be higher than avg. it is that active life of researchers, professors that attract global talent. US does not need that much factory workers as it has NAFTA and other import countries.
