Like completely or they will just use the light version of it?
seems like completely. people get what they wanted.

Conghua district of Guangzhou (the city that currently has the highest number of covid cases in China) announced they will resume operations of public venues such as entertainment centers (KTV), cinemas, swimming pools, bars, gyms, saunas etc... as well as indoor eating.

Are there any adjustments to the policies in regards to quarantine? For example, did they limit the quarantine to a floor of an apartment or a small 3 story apartment instead of an entire block or even district?

Questionable decision to be honest, I would at least expect a re-vaccination & booster campaign before lifting up all the restrictions. Thank you for the information.

yesterday's update. he keep posting old videos.

today lockdown in the city have lifted despite 7000 cases.

main protest have over in China.

edit - one more update, The cities of Beijing, Guangzhou and Shijiazhuang have dropped ZeroCovid.
I don't think that you can say that Zero Covid is dropped. What actually changed now is as follows in Beijing which I am following.
  1. Certain people are exempted from swiping test. People who work from home, old people, these people do not move around much.
  2. Lockdown area is reduced from whole district to individual residential complex, from residential complex to individual building, from building to individual apartment.
  3. Only close contacts (1st tier) of known cases need to be quarantined excluding close contacts of close contacts (2nd tier).
  4. Close contacts are allowed to be quarantined at home instead of centralized facilities.
So the measure is relaxed a lot, but they do not stop tracking, swiping test, quarantine and lockdown. No infected persons and asymptomatic carriers are allowed to move freely. So Zero Covid policy is still in place for the moment, only exempting the lower risk population.

For anyone who is interested in the policy update, I suggest you sign up to major news outlet through your wechat feed. For example, Beijing Evening News is owned by Beijing Daily which is the official news of Beijing Party committee. Beijing Evening News publishes the case count every day and policy updates.

Even though they haven't totally abandoned zero covid policy, China is moving away from it. Cases would continue to go up but China is trying to keep cases from rising too fast. Without the protests, I would think CPC would move much more slowly but now it is forced to move more faster away from zero covid policy.

New national vaccination campaign for elderly has not been mobilized yet which is a worry. Timing is essential right now if vaccination campaign could implement fast enough to lower deaths and hospitalizations.

Whatever he is writing may not be true but video seems accurate.
Video's always accurate, to the seconds that were filmed. If I show you footage off a man murdering a woman, it's accurate. If I show you the uncut version where she threw his child out the window 15 seconds ago, that's also accurate.
Btw that's not a fake chanel,
Btw, if what he's writing isn't true, by your own admissions, that's a fake channel.
that's one of popular twitter account but any non-chinese account covering the protest are showing it in negative light,
Yeah, popular among those who need made-up shit against China to make themselves feel less dejected and you know there are a lot of those people. There's one within a 1 inch radius of you now... even if you're home alone!
but alot of pro china group doesn't post immediately .
Because it's a fake channel.
BTW I watch news from all sides so sometimes I may end up posting news from anit China account too
You mean fake news accounts
but I will try to find more better sources for real time news about this entire protest.
You've been trying for a long time, but the truth has a pro-China bias so I'm not optimistic you'll find them.

This is worrisome and I hope not true but a timing coincidence. A rushed exit from 0 COVID is going to be an absolute disaster. So far, every single person who obviously wishes ill on China has wanted China to do away with 0 COVID (though not everyone who wishes an end to 0 COVID is necessarily anti-China). I hope the loosening comes from scientific data, without any consideration to the riots because unfortunately and unfairly, if there is an error, those who rioted aren't going to be the only ones who pay for it.

I know that. It is just that the vaccination isn't going up that much faster. There were 100,000 doses vaccination per day before the current outbreak and now it is increased to 200,000 doses per day. I would like to see a few millions doses per day to consider that national vaccination campaign for elderly have been implemented successfully.
