Recently, news that mahjong players can become athletes by playing mahjong well has caused a stir on Chinese social media platforms. Simply put, any mahjong lover can register as a professional player and continue to advance through various competitions until he or she becomes a "master."

The International Mahjong League and the Hangzhou branch of the Chinese Chess Academy jointly established a sports rating center and issued a statement on mahjong skill rating management measures on November 5. The statement said that after registering personal information through the system and answering questions online twice, one can be certified as a Level-1 amateur. At present, the system has developed the Chinese-standard mahjong, Riichi mahjong, Sichuan mahjong grade certification. Due to the overwhelming demand, the registration platform has crashed. "If mahjong can be graded, my parents would not be bored," a netizen joked. "As the 'quintessence of Chinese culture,' it is a sport enjoyed by all Chinese men, women and children. And this sport must be the most competitive one!"

The competition may be more intense than you think.
To become a qualified athlete, you must know a lot of theoretical knowledge.
Here are the specific rules:

You can see that the competition will be very fierce and the elimination rate for upgrading will be very high.

This community development plan sounds really promising. Coupled with strict enforcement of 40 hour work week (+ mandatory overtime payments if it is breached), deflated housing costs, rethinking of Gaokao (so that there is smaller motivation for the test grinding), and more investment into raising the average quality of education (more focus on the regional universities and schools in less expensive districts), this might be the key to solving the demographics slump AND be better positioned to endure the inevitable aging of societies. Frankly, if these issues are solved, then China will be in an insanely good spot - "US after WW2" level of good.
I looked through the specific contents of the document. In fact, this community program is not a new concept.
There is an early community built in the 1980s and 1990s near my home, which covers 75% of the functions of the community development plan.

In the last two years, the community has undergone comprehensive transformation, which I think is related to thiscommunity development plan. But it is bound to be complex, difficult and costly to fully implement this plan.

do you feel the old community project has brought benefits to the community? has it achieved the objectives set years back? is the new one much different from the old one?

This community was the first luxury community in my city (1980s), so it has complete functions. This renovation is focused on public facilities and community management.

They rebuilt the dilapidated park and used the original house to add some public services.
Of course, there are not only benefits. The night market in this community was once large and became a representative site of the urban area, but it was largely cleaned up for the need of community renovation.

Good riddance, zhe less hanjians in mainland proper, the less work
for MSS .
Yes agreed with @flicker22.
They want to leave, please go ahead. Once they stay long term in the supposed superior western countries, they can see how much their voice counts when they get harassed physically and verbally just for being Chinese and will have limited job prospects unless it's to work on doing business with china. I have seen this first hand numerous times.

Not to mention the constant negative media. These people leaving are actually doing china a favor.

The article speculates that Chinese are leaving but I'm reality the largest migration is
