On a related note, I find the whole tiktok situation to be an utterly moronic farce, ByteDance have done just about everything to suck up to America, it has placed tiktok’s servers in America, make all of its management staffs American, immediately looks to sell tiktok to Microsoft when the whole farce started, openly disclosed its search algorithms for inspection, something that no American social media company will ever fucking do.

Yet, despite all this, it’s treated as a ‘national security’ threat simply because its parent company is from a ‘scary communist country’. And now he’s asking money from the sale to be to state’s treasury.

Make no mistake, the bigger the fuss Trump makes about ‘national security’ issue, the less people pay attention to how he royally screwed up at home.
Trump and his aides are pigs leading a herd of diseased antelopes, the bigger hypothetically threat of lions over the horizon appear the less attention Is paid to the fact there’s a pandemic spreading and there’s no water to be found.

Maybe I’m being too harsh towards Trump, all he did is to expose the absurdity of American Exceptionalism mindset for the world to gawk at, despite it being the unspoken guiding principle of American foreign policy for a century. Its foreign policy has always being packaged and sold to the world as Liberal values, values that American could not care less to abide by when it hurt their bottomline.

If this is an example of the master race, no need to worry. This guy's only power is if you care. Because of George Floyd there been a lot of talk about white supremacy and how to end it. Guess what? Only the Chinese are the closest to ending white supremacy. It won't come about because of war where armies are battling. It will come about when China doesn't need them for anything. That is their nightmare scenario and they see it coming. That's what China should be striving for. No civilized person would see that as a crime. The best revenge is to live well. Do you see rich people being skinheads? No, they're working class poor. They see the inferior passing them by and they get angry about it and that's what a skinhead is about. People who can't live up to the standards of their own superiority. Everyone else is looking to live together as a means to end it. Chinese don't need them. That's why you see people say how the Republicans and Democrats can agree on China. They try to make it out like day and night are agreeing like it makes them cosmically in the right in the universe. No, Democrats and liberals recognize they have to have all the power because then how can they dictate to you what is best for you if they didn't have a punishment mechanism to deal with people who do what they tell them? That's why Republicans and Democrats can agree on China. And sycophant Asians want us to worship at the feet of this guy?

Since the UN recognizes Taiwan as a part of China, the US stationing troops in Taiwan would be an act of invasion under international law.

China would then have every legitimacy to retake Taiwan by force.

Exactly, under such circumstances the PLA would already be mobilizing full force since at that point the US made clear its hostile intentions no less than the buildup for the Iraq invasion.

War must only be a last resort. Even if China wins, there is just too much uncertainties there. Also, every death and killing of fellow Chinese across both sides will breed hatred. This will make it difficult for China to govern a newly captured Taiwan. Plus all the bad rep and hostile international pressure China would have to endure for launching a hot war on a 'democratic state'.

I think for a first step, China should start engineering a coup in Taiwan. It'll not be easy with the CIA there, but worth the try. The 'Sunflower Movement' was a CIA engineered coup. So China must bring the Taiwanese govt back to a 'One-China' govt. There will be resistance, but much less blood to spill compared to war.

The Philippines is a good example. Under Aquino, and with the scandalous PCA ruling in favour of the Philippines on the SCS, there was a potential for war between China and the Philippines. After Duterte took power, tensions eased dramatically. I don't know if China influenced the Filipino elections, but I am sure a change of leadership makes so much difference.

Installing a China-friendly coup govt in Taiwan should be a top priority. It is not pretty, but its the most efficient way to resolve this issue. USA cannot call this 'foreign interference' because Taiwan is technically China. The sanctions will come, but better than having many Chinese dying on both sides on the straits.

America is banning all Chinese software from its markets, and presumably from the 5 eyes as well. This will logically be followed by a hardware ban.

Since Chinese companies cannot enter the American market anymore, is there any reason to allow Americans to profit off of China? Turns out trade dependence is easier unwound than expected. What are the implications of this in your opinion, and what can realistically be done?
