i thought j-11BG is carrying a new AESA? yet this one still has a pitot tube in front of its radome?

An aircraft having a pitot tube at the front of its radome has no relationship with what type of radar it uses.

J-11BG/BGH has an AESA in its grey radome yes.
J-11BG/BGH's grey radome has a pitot tube, also yes.

We've had pictures of J-11BG/BGH for a few years now, where at the time its grey radome with pitot tube was already long confirmed.

i understand that, my question was more like, why they don't replace with new radome when they change to AESA...
