No, they have superior speed, armament, avionics, sensory packages but not aerodynamically superior. Su27 has better aerodynamic, AL31F is ok but very short life span. Radars were not that great and the missiles (R27/R77) not that reliable. Also much lower MTOW compared to F15.Eagles (with possible exception of F-15E) have superior aerodynamics to the Su-30MKK. What transpired that day appears to be a differential in piloting skill.
J-16 and friends (J-10A/C and Su-30) in Yunnan.

So J11s are likely to exhibit Su27 shortcomings?Eagles are superior in sustained turning rate across the envelope due to higher thrust to weight ratio. Sukhois are limited to 8g and actually have pretty poor performance at the transsonic regime until Su-35 fixed structural problems.

Im not talking about Japanese F15 nor Koreans. Just general F15, Su27 clashes that was supposed to happen over European skies. You may want to update your information on Japanese F15Js.
The bulk of the fleet are obsolete 1970s era relics and not even Fox3 capable.
They are slowly upgrading them, but it’s a questionable investment in my view given their age and limited remaining airframe hours. Which the PLAAF is doing a great job helping them use up BTW.

So J-11As were 1:1 copies? At least the J-11A variant. Not sure if they fixed it in J-11B but most likely they have for J-16.
