Well those original Su27 arrived in early 1990s

It's still less than 30 years and China has extensive rebuild and overhaul capacity of the Flanker

I wouldn't expect them to go so soon but the 1st batch of 26 ( 20 x SK and 6 x UBK) are certainly the ones to go first

Unlike the J-11B, the J-16 also needs to deal with ground/surface targets on a regular basis. I don't think it's radar will be configured the same way on the J-11B.

F/A-18E/F, F-22 and F-35 all have canted AESA placement but the older planes don't. Mitsubishi F-2, F-16 BLK 60 AESA are placed conventionally and the F-16 AN/APG-83 (SABR?) upgrade is also like that. Same goes to the F-15 and the APG-63(V)3 and so on.

So it is possible older aircraft like the J-10A, J-11B might get upgrades like AN/APG-83 and APG-63(V)3.

Interesting that China reopened J-11B production line. Will it produce 1 regiment a year as well or with lower number?

What happened to J-11D production line?

There were rumors about PLAAF imported Flankers having shorter-than-expected service lives, which could potentially explain the resumption of J-11B production. J-11D has been delayed but according to recent claims and satellite photos still active (~5 prototypes allegedly built).

Exact replace first Su-27 now the 2 first batch surely get retired and complete also staffing in others units i can't say but my feeling is for a little production max 10 by year

OedoSoldier thinks they are from the 97th Brigade, but that would be the first AR (former 97th AR) assigned to the 33rd Air Division, a former J-7E-unit. I thought this J-11BS is one of those with 78x8x from the 177th Brigade?

What do You think?
