probably has to do with the Radar set. The IRIST has to be squeezed into the nose in any space not taken by the Radar. J11 being older likely has a slightly larger Radar.

some new photos of J-15,J-11B and J-11BS...I am not sure whether the J-11's are for PLAAF or PLANAF. Don't think PLAAF received any new J-11B/BS in the past year...
Is it just me or does that J15 lack any serial numbers?

On that last picture the numbers are quite clear but not on the first few.. maybe on the other side?
It's the one they special ordered for me, and they are preparing it on the QT...you know, non traceable and hush, hush and the like.
When they saw how excited I was to get that 1/72 scale model I spoke of earlier on the thread, a week or so later I got a 2,048,000,064-bit encrypted, self-un-encoding email asking if I wanted it have the real thing. Well, the next thing I knew, I got a confirmation saying it would be on its way at a date and time I cannot disclose. I am just presuming that's the one. It should be arriving in 3,200 UPS packages over an eight month period, with all the instructions.
I just can't wait to start putting that 1:1 scale model together.
