You are right. Keep it out of this thread, pls.

back on topic. Do you think that china will use, at least in a later date, a two-seat J-15 version for training for its carrier pilots? i remember that russia did that for its carrier pilots.

When did Russia has a twin seater Su-33?

You meant that China J-15 twin seaters made from a Russian drawing board?

the Su-27KUB. Although i think that due to lack of funding, it never leaved the prototype stage.

The 2 S-27KUB is totally different from PLAN J-15S. Seating arrangement is different. It's more like Su-34. In the end, it never become operation. Training for carrier pilot is irrelevant.

Yes, the intitial class of carrier quals were performed by experienced Naval Aviators, when they begin to qual more lower time pilots for the carrier, the J-15s will be very helpful and much safer, taking much of the risk out of those initial traps on the ship. Brat

The Russians use a navalized SU-25 Frogfoot as their trainers and attack plane since the SU-33 doesn't pose any good ground and no naval attack capabilities. The SU-33 can only carry dumb bombs. Lion is correct there are no twin seated SU-33's. There is however a twin seated MiG-29K.

According to Russian sources , Kh-41 was tested on Su-33 , but it didn't enter in operational use . Quote from Russian wikipedia :

Х-41 «Москит» (подвешивались только на опытных Т-10К-5 и Т-10К-9)

As for Kh-31 , I'm fairly certain Su-33 could carry anti-radiation version (Kh-31P ) since it doesn't require any specific avionics (it relies on own seeker ) . Finally Kh-29T should be relatively easy to install on Su-33 (even unmodified Su-25 could carry them ) but I don't know if it's ever been done .

Kh-41 - never carried, never tested on Su-33, neither any other air launch platform.

P.S.Never existed in metal, and more, never had this designation, but it's the whole other story...

Well , obviously you are wrong , because designation Kh-41 (X-41 in Russian) indicates air-launch . The question could it be launched from Su-33 is another matter , but there are plenty of sources confirming this missile actually exists .
