No, the date in the tweet is wrong, it was July 3rd. NWPU's test fire was on July 4th.

They're fast breeder reactors, they produce plutonium by definition. That quoted sentence is also inaccurate, the CFR600s will give China an extra 1,270 nuclear warheads by 2030. China doesn't produce plutonium in civilian facilites.

I have a dream! I dream that the first CFR600 will supply the first power to the first Chinese SSMB EUV synchrotron, so China can use the chips fabbed in that synchrotron to design the next generation of nuclear weapons.
