Always remember this when it comes to China - India relations: while US actions are mainly directed towards the Chinese government, India’s hatred, jealousy, racism are almost always directed towards the Chinese people.

Tbh... after some thought... I don’t think that’s a good idea either... it would just over-inflate Indian sense of importance into thinking they are so powerful that China has to recognise India as a major competitor and therefore China must respect and act as if the Indians are a superpower and China should yield to mighty Indian power... if their sense of important is already like this without recognition, I can only imagine their ego with recognition...Sometimes I wish the Chinese government would come out and just call India a major competitor just so that they’ll be happy about their importance.
That's how the West and US, in particular, operate. They try to deter, to interfere, to degrade China's development, especially China's internal affairs. They are still maintaining the 18th century Opium War mentality when they could do whatever barbaric acts that pleased them.. No more.Always remember this when it comes to China - India relations: while US actions are mainly directed towards the Chinese government, India’s hatred, jealousy, racism are almost always directed towards the Chinese people.

China is more refined than being bash due to its 5000-year history and culture. That is the difference between Chinese and Western culture. Biden openly called China a 'serious competitor', China did not react to it because you know who will win at the end of the day! Deeds not words that count.Sometimes I wish the Chinese government would come out and just call India a major competitor just so that they’ll be happy about their importance.
With all due respect, I believe that statement holds up pretty well, inlight of the recent disengagement agreement. Don't you agree that disengagement is a good thing? I would definitely like Indo-Sino relations to go somewhat back to normal. If the disengagement process goes well, maybe there could even be another Xi-Modi summit.Lol.
