Interesting correction regarding this rumour: Allegedly this claim is not related for the H-20 but „I meant to say that the third prototype of the J-36 has gone through multiple taxiing tests.“

He also hinted at the existence of a No.4 J-36, but they just didn't have enough time for further testing since it was the end of the year.

I wonder what is the relationship of the 2 J36 prototype, since these 2 showing up flying in formation , does this hints at that both configuration is being valuated and tested ?

The purpose of flight testing prototypes is to verify if the designs work as intented, and also to find any flaw or sub-optimal features, after evaluating test flight data they will then modify the design and test again. And the circle goes on until all are satisfied.

Therefore testing different configurations is normal. They will ultimately choose the one that they deem the best to their requirement.
