Can you copy the content from the previous thread #1663 onwards? There is a lot of information about the first flight of the CAC next generation fighter.

Edit:So friends who browse the content of the sixth-generation aircraft in the future, remember to start from #1663 and experience the excitement we felt when we witnessed its maiden flight

Or just change the title to Chengdu Next Generation Fighter Post and move the Shenyang Fighter content out

There's way too much content for me to properly do that, people will have to go back and read the previous thread themselves prior to the delineation.

Alternatively, I welcome people to briefly repost relevant pictures and images of the CAC and SAC aircraft to their respective threads if they wish.

It seems that there is a lot of speculation of the CAC jet having three engines. I think it is only two engines with a bigger space in between than J-20. The nozels may be rectangular which are similar in shape as the central fairing. That gave the impression of a third engine.

A wide spaced twin engine setup is benificial for control (like flanker and Su-57), it becomes necessity for aircraft without canard/vertical stablizer/horizontal stablier.

Also it is absurd to think of a three engine setup, the aircraft is only slightly bigger than a J-20, it only looks big because of the wing-body merged design.

The leakers who have been strip teasing us for a month have gotten everything right so far.

I doubt they got the big part of this aircraft wrong.

The aircraft's length is only a bit bigger than J-20 indeed, but its wingspan is quite a bit bigger, and fuselage volume and wing size (which determines weight) looks far, far larger than J-20. This thing is a rather heavy tactical aircraft.

There were a blurry photo in the original thread showing quite clearly three nozzles, I think it is pretty clear cut now. Just what is so unimaginable about tri-engine?
