Who knows why J36 uses a pitot tube similar to Mig25's?

Pitot tubes all serve the same function, so they're all kinda samey. Generally speaking though modern fighter jets don't have them on the tip of their nose anymore. Here you can see the J-20 through it's early development, notice how it started out with a pitot tube up front and later dropped it? The same will happen with the J-36.
You can also see a weird pitot tube setup on the B-21 prototypes, there it will also disappear in the future.

All aircraft need pitot tubes to measure airspeed. The tip of the nose is the ideal place to install pitot tubes since this place has the cleanest uninterrupted airflow. This trend has, however, fallen out of favor for production aircraft as this arrangement is in conflict with the nose radar. For the J-36 prototype, which values the accuracy of the airspeed data it collected and most likely does not have a functional radar installed yet, installing the pitot tube at nose tip is the most logical choice

You know what, I keep staring at the dorsal air intake and I just don't get it. Won't the airflow past the cockpit massively disrupt the air going into it? I mean it looks like a lot of air will just skim right off the canopy and above the air intake even in normal level flight. I would have put 2 dorsal air intakes either side of the canopy going straight to the outside engines and have a single ventral intake rather like the J-10C.
