Cotecmar advances in the construction of its first patrol CPV-46 for Colombia

(Infodefensa.com) E. Saumeth, Cartagena - The Corporation for Science and Technology Development of the Naval, Maritime and Fluvial-Cotecmar Industry, is building a CPV-46, patrol for Colombian Navy (ARC).
It is one of three new vessels of this type that are built right now-in addition to the Cotecmar, two by STX Offshore & Shipbuilding in South Korea, by approximate 60 million dollars of securities as part modernization programs which currently conducting the ARC. The acquisition of these vessels, which entered into operations is expected later this year, is part of the chapter the development of Coast Guard units in the Orion Plan 2.
