DNA, some body suggest ,I think its hard, but I am not expert, I would not say anything, just watch news.
I think this matter will be cool down later.

I know I am going to get it again... but I just have to say it...

Lets put hard work aside, sometime not always a good result would come out even after alot of hardwork is put in it. And lets not also jump into conclusion that this is the real one that we are speaking of. We need to wait for further proof (maybe scientific proves).

Sorry for me being very skeptical... Unless more evidence supported by scientific proves, it really is not very convincing that the tomb belong to Cao Cao. (Well... this is just my thoughts and I don't want to hinder what others wanted to believe in).

I second that.

Unfortunately, the truth doesn't care how much hard work people have put in. You may spend your whole life barking up the wrong tree, while someone else may find the treasure the first time they try to look. Heck, many great discoveries have been made by people not even looking for them.

I agree that we should admire those who dedicate themselves to the hard work and give them credit. But that should not prevent us from doubting their work. Judging someone's work critically should be viewed as the greatest compliment to these people. A true professional researcher also welcomes critiques to his/her work as an independent verification is an important step in science. Also constructive critiques could also previde valuable tips, hints and advices that you may miss in your initial invesitgation and help you eventually solve the problem.

DNA won't be easy. It can tell you if the body is a male/female, how old this person was when he/she died, and if he/she had some genetic diseases, etc. Like fingerprints, DNA needs a match. Since we don't have a DNA sequence for Cao Cao in the record, there is no way we can know who the DNA belongs to.

Like I said earlier, definitively proving this is Cao's tomb would be almost impossbile, but let's see.

Archaeologists exactly how to find Cao Cao tomb, in fact, a lot of people are not aware that they have no chance to listen to a detailed report of archaeologists, but I believe that archaeologists had made a detailed report to authorities. I think we should watch the video below, these are 3 of long video, from CCTV-10,talk about how Cao Cao's tomb found.

A sequential analysis of Cao Cao's suspected DNA could succeed in identifying him positively if compared with DNA sequences taken from a fairly large sample of consanguine (i.e. being akin with him) people. Only who actually knows about descending from the general after more than 50 generations?

Effectively the entire population of Henan would have to be DNA screened but this would give a high chance of identifying the clan/family tribe of the suspected Cao Cao. Interestingly the entire population of Iceland was already DNA screened years ago for scientific purposes resulting in a highly precise genealogical tree of almost all Icelandians having ever lived since the beginning of settlement on the island 800 years ago. Today technology is already more advanced and cost efficient so China should be capable of a similar research campaign in Henan.

Well, this kind of tests like the one done in Iceland situation was more trying to identify who's related to whom. That's easy. Identifying a single person? That would be difficult. You need a perfect match. You can tell this person belongs to his family, but cannot definitively show this is the man himself. What if the tomb belongs to some Cao's descendent, not himself? We know that many of his descendents were powerful people and could afford a tomb like this.

You are under the impression that we can identify his descendents precisely and definitively. However, this cannot be done since many people could falsely link themselves to Cao since historically, people have the tendency to claim themselves to be descendents of some famous ancient people.

Doing a genetic testing for Henan for the purpose of identifying a tomb is highly waste of money and timein my opinion and should not be done. Also Iceland is a very isolated place, meaning that you can go back and identify everyone. Henan, however, is in the middle of central China, meaning it has been a very fluid place for a long time since Cao's time. It would be extremely difficult to definitively identify Cao's descendents.
