Again need some help ??? Does anyone know what type of fighter is shown behind this JL-7 model ?? :confused::confused:

To admit it looks quite large and "modern" ... similar to a F-15/Mirage 4000 sized fighter. :p:p

Any help and esp. more image are highly willcome !

The one in the background looks like a massively out of scale L15.

This is said to be the first image of the apanese ADT-X demonstrator prototype. Could it be true ?? :confused:... even if such blurred images are more typical for the first unveiling of Chinese types ?? :eek:;):eek:

Deino if anyone can identify a PLAAF aircraft it's you! ;) However I would say it's too blurred to make anything out as of now the nose cone looks missing though

No, that's not a Chinese aircraft, but the new Japanese fifth generation fighter demonstrator prototype for the later "F-3".

I wonder why Japan didn't just build a full scale tech demonstrator (the Shinshin to F-3 approach probably isn't going to save very much money). The difficulty of developing an indigenous engine in the 16-18 ton thrust range?

They are looking to develop there own Stealth technology for the late 2020's not tomorrow it's a system model not a full development to production program.

Apparently this news is only coming from Chinese internet sources. Maybe here? That brings up interesting questions if this is coming from Chinese sources and not anyone else.
