Actually I think this isn't the xianglong, but rather a different box wing uav -- but the same uav in post 10 of this thread.

When the picture first came out people were confused as to the wing's supposed high mounted position. Being a box wing, along with the super bright and blurred photo, one can understand how the uav looked like so.
It's not a small uav either -- at least BZK-005 sized, but definitely a bit smaller than the full size xianglong.

Anyone see the grey rectangular panel on the underside of the uav? Could it be a weapons bay? Or perhaps (more sensibly), some kind of large surface search radar?

I completely agee with You (my first impression regarding that "strange" UAV in post 10 it was partially covered by a tarpailin, but it makes much more sense !)

Regarding that thing on the belly ... it looks very much like a large SAR (similar to a mini-Joint STARS) !

Yep, I personally thought of the RQ-4 Eurohawk in regards to that large underbelly radar. Good for surveying a small country I'd bet. One of these orbiting NK border at altitude can probably cover the entire country.

And looking back at the Xianglong uav one can get a scale as to just how large xianglong is. That UAV would definitely be the PLA's Global hawk and BAMS component.

Here comes a video.

Deino must be happy now. This looks like a love child of soaring dragon, pterodactyl, and the good old BKZ,
and my money is on long range reconnaissance.

Still no info where this UAV was spotted ???

It actually doesn't look that small compared to the Xianlong if not similar sized. It just seems to sit lower on the ground.

The boxed wing looks more compact and sturdier than the Xianglong. Could it be an evolution of the Xianglong prototype, and not another new type of UAV?
