Correct - Prince Harry wore spurs on his boots because he is a "calvary officer" - flies a helicopter. That's a tradition - lots of them in the Brtiish Armed Forces. Some may be surprised to know that RN and their Reserve officers at formal dining-ins toast to HM The Queen sitting down - why? in the old days of sailing ships, the headroom was limited in height, and ever-since the naval officers were given permission to do the Royal Toast sitting down. I believe there are also traditions in th US Armed Forces too - if I am not mistaken those serving helicopter squadrons do wear the old Calavary hats on occassions.
