US basically holds hostage the entirety of Saudi Arabia's wealth. You know all those dollars that SA holds, might as well consider them gone

Indian "fuck you I got mine" mentality, they haven't even finished climbing the ladder and they want to kick it.

India won. India convinced Brazil plus others to stop the BRICS expansion. I think Russia, China and Iran would have voted for BRICS expansion.

I can understand the need to improve the organization's governance with the expansion of the block. With more people it will be harder to make changes to the structure of the organization. But five years seems way too long.

With a Palestinian state the west can't block rails going from west Asia into egypt and the rest of North Africa etc.
If Israel eliminates the Palestinians and Gaza they will have full control over who will and who won't access Africa from land.

Tunnels under Gulf of Aqaba can easily bypass Israel for land access to Africa.

Jordan to Egyptian Sinai is only 8km.
KSA to Sinai is 14km.

What proof do you have that India convinced Brazil to stop BRICS expansion? Brazil was against expansion even the first time and only relented once Argentina got accepted. The only people really pushing for BRICS expansion are China and Russia.

doesn't work that way. China needs to get more powerful in order to pressure other countries to do its bidding.

If you want other countries to help you get more powerful, you need some really good diplomacy

Just look at the Vietnam example. Even 5 years ago, Vietnam gave China the middle finger on HSR. Now, it chases China around trying to get HSR help. When other countries think you are powerful, they come to you. You don't need to come to them

Huh? Who’s pressuring who into doing bidding? I’m merely saying China should offer an alternative to willing partners.

ASEAN works with China not because of BRICS instead it does so it offers it investment and development and is part of BRI, despite not being allowed into BRICS membership.

So if China wants to work with Thailand or Malaysia, then it’s why would wouldn’t it be advantageous to work with them via BRI? Win/Win.

BRI might not be as multilateral but the most of funding and efforts behind BRICS is Chinese, not India or Brazil, so instead of having BRICS bank you use AIIB instead and do bilateral deals.
