Bhutan: Dangerous liaison

I have to say, China has really given a lot of "face" to India in this episode. And I don't mean it could be 100% out of goodwill specifically to the Indians too. But it just shows that China truly cherish its peaceful rise, and if possible, she doesn't want any of its neighbours to get the short end of the stick resulting from her rise. I say kudos to the goverment of China!

Even I was baying for blood this time. The audacity of India in first instigating such an unneccesary provocation, and then foaming at the mouth trying to attract sympathisers, and lastly shouting itself coarse trumpeting their "victory" really, REALLY, deserve no more second chance. And personally, I don't think India will try this stunt again in the near future.

I'll be paying close attention to the coming BRICs summit, and see what are the Indians actions there. What "face" China gives India in the future could depends on India's commitments to the BRICs.

Yet will still be branded as a perpetual "bad" guy or (in this case) the coward loser. Such a shame this kind of travesty is allowed to be perpetuated by Chinese leadership. China needs to play the propaganda game as well and as shamelessly as Russia. As long as the opinion of the masses can be converted. Russia managed it and so can China.

... What makes you think China will want to broadcast the road building if they chose to?

That would be the equivalent of flaunting a victory and rubbing it in India's face. Why do you think China would want to do that?

..

Separately, a Xinhua video in English, entitled “The Seven Sins of India”, accuses India of “trampling international law” and “confusing right and wrong” over the Doklam crisis.

I truly believe that the US was behind this and tried to instigate a border war to distract China from its eastern responsibilities.

When Uncle Sam sics a dog on you, he wants to see you hack the thing to death with all your might, getting tired, sweaty, and maybe even bitten once or twice. Instead, you keep your eyes deadlocked on the master, toss a chew toy out from your pocket and watch the dog dive after it and disappear. The dog thinks he won something but in reality, you dismissed him because he's not on your level. Uncle Sam stares back at you with a sweaty brow and mutters under his breath, "Well played... Chinaman..." LOL

Do you know how much anti China crap are being produced in Western media daily, hours? If we post every single false/wrong article or hit piece on China, then it will be a full time job.

But yet, any time there is a slight negative piece of report of Chinese media towards other county it will be widely reported and spread to prove the point of "aggressive evil China"

Negative hit piece in West about China = West's freedom of speech, not the official statement from the government and no one cares.

Negative hit piece in China about others = China's official statement that proves Chinese's true evil intentions.. because you know the logic is all media in China is regulated, thus everything reported in China media = official Chinese position.

Give me a F-ing break Jura, how many discriminating racist article about China in India media was reported during this stand off? and none of them gone viral, but 1 funny joke piece like to just have some light hearten fun from China = China is racist.

Seriously, you need to stop posting to stop embarrass yourself.

You realize that for a dispute like this it would be more harmful to show off, right?

If China did build that road I would expect them to keep quiet about it rather than flaunt it.

China told to move your butt and they did (...)Indian by acquiescence essentially recognize Chinese sovereignty in Donglam(...) this dispute is about sovereignty and not about road(...) Winter is coming and the construction is halted temporarily(...)give the Indian face saving way out

China didnt told india to move, both sides agreed to move out. Just because india agreed that china to patrol that area doesnt mean that they recognize it as chinese territory. This spat was about the road construction. Nice excuse about the winter. it gave china more face saving than india.

Chinese troops are still there. China reserves the right to build whenever, wherever, bound by only their own choice, and they explicitly said that.

No, those troops are no longer there and the road wont be built anymore. In fact the chinese government hasnt confirm if the road will be built or not. See this news article.

Why are you quoting the Economic Times, a propaganda mouthpiece of the Indian government. If you want people to start believing your argument, you ought to first cite more credible sources. Most publications have stated that India unilaterally withdrew its troops without any Chinese preconditions ... the Indian media is lying in your face and you still believe them . You should probably be a little less gullible ;)

Don't you think flaunting victory is very childish? We have all been there and done that. But we are all adults now, don't we?

Not sure about you, but I surely won't do that after I grabbed land, and I don't care if I am called a "loser" by the losers so long as I have the rock, I don't think Xi cares about that either, or any Chinese who is mature enough.

Sorry mate, where were you all these weeks? Mars? Did you hear what China's foreign ministry said over and over again in the past month that "there will be no talk before India pulls its troops out of the line"? If that is not "telling india to move", what is it? Or what would be the "telling" in your language?

India recognize or not, nobody in China cares so long as it moves its butt out. Most of the Sino-Indian border is not settled, so what? It is good enough for one to stand where one can keep.
