In the face of this threat, a military pact between China and Indonesia is needed, for driving out the Anglos from Asia and Australia. China, Indonesia and other Asean countries will divide up Australia as they wish.
@Tyler bro we don't need Alliance, what we need is to trade and left alone. If the West want to escalate do it on their backyard. If they insist of doing it in the SCS then we will object. They don't have the right to mess in our HOOD.

@nlalyst bro I'm assuming a lot of anger among the elites and oligarchy here if China and DUTERTE sign a COC, I can see the headlines Duterte sell of Phil Sovereignty...LOL it will be an agreement where the US will surely object even though its for our owned benefited and here we can see where the loyalty of these people lies.

Regarding the Chinese being opulence, I'm a Filipino Chinese the way I lived my life is of moderation, the one whose opulent lifestyle are mostly Mestizo and nouveau riche Filipino. Why there is no backlash cause they exposed their wealth and by doing so the populace accepted it even if it came from criminal means. We the Hua Qiao who had been taught by our parents the value of money and thriftiness. Especially in the early years were discrimination are abound, a Chinese can't get a loan from a bank and even owned properties. as a community we survived by helping each other. It is imprint in our mind the value of hard work and what is it to be Chinese, the DIGNITY we had established and the RESPECT we had earned. So bro I had to disagree and sorry for bringing a boring essay. ;)

Exactly!! The Chinese business diaspora in the Philippines had to coalesce together and formed their own bank to support each other's businesses since no help or assistance could be gained or expected from the government. The largest private provider or jobs in the Philippines come from Filipino-Chinese led businesses from the Philippine Airlines of Lucio Tan, Jollibee, and SM malls that was founded by the now deceased Henry Sy. Honestly, that dude's comment irked me since it's ignorant and devoid or any factual basis.

@Bellum_Romanum bro that generation of Taipans really help the community BIG TIME, those Chinese mestizo oligarch(landed gentry) are the one that propose those discriminating policy against the new comer Chinese in the 40's and 50's (they wanted the land to themselves). Just show you being assimilated they lost their Chinese value as they seek being part of the White privilege elites (Spanish elite mestizo). Now with the network the Taipan had established we were able to thrive and accumulate more wealth than them, so they join politics to stay relevant, their wealth is mostly speculative cause they concentrated on real estate and the past 7 years gov't contract. The term RENT SEEKERS or Carpet baggers is easily associated with them.

Apparently the submarine deal isn't entirely Biden's fault. The idea germinated during the Trump era but Biden is definitely to blame for sleepwalking till the thing came to fruition.
Rumours say that is has been in secret negotiations for 18 months!!

Thats not just a simple mistake but plain treason/betrayal of France by its so-called "allies and partners"

I must admit that even I was taken aback at just what an unprecedented and needless shitshow this entire thing was.

The French recalling their ambassadors is historically unprecedented (yes, they did it once before, but that was a political move to remove a troublesome ambassador and didn’t reflect on inter-state relations). And I think they have good reason to be so pissed off.

We need to take this incident in the proper broader context of both the recent Lithuanian drama as well as all the BS anti-China statements senior EU officials have been putting out. All of that would be been driven entirely by America, and the fact that the likes of Von Der Leyen had made such anti-China statements meant, specifically going so far as to deliberately touch upon China’s most sensitive red line of Taiwan, would not have been a move taken light. One that even if there wasn’t active French support, there would have been assurances given to prevent a French veto.

The US making their move to fuck France over right after the EU had burnt bridges with China for the Americans is just as big of a betrayal as the stealing of French submarine contracts. To be frank, even a prostitute would expect to be treated better than that.

To add even more insult to injury, this announcement coming so soon after the G7 meeting, when the likes of Biden, Morrison and Boris would have known that this was about to happen and could still look Macron in the eyes and act like they are best buds would have also massively undermined any personal respect and regard Macron might have had towards them.

America treating France like this would have also been noted with deep concern by other EU states, and I would not be surprised if Lithuania is now scrambling to unfuck their relations with China.

I think China should start making serious noises behind the scenes with the EU asking them just how much they can trust the US. And making thinly veiled threats that China might look to sign a counter pact with Russia if the EU doesn’t pull America’s hand out of its arse and start behaving like an actual independent sovereign body instead of America sock puppets.

That's classic Anglo American MO and also the reason why they prefer dictators on banana republics, so they can easily dispose of them if such dictators start becoming more independent eg Noriega, Arab Spring etc

I'm willing to bet the Anglo Americans sold the French and europeans on the appeal of white supremacism/white solidarity against the coloured peoples of the world rising up and once committed, these french and europeans are hard pressed to humble themselves before the coloured races like China and atone for past sins and move forward.

unfortunately many Southeast Asian countries are filled with racist cowards who are very scared of west but look down on Chinese and other Southeast Asians even with 1/4 - 1/5 of Chinese GDP per capita. I am serious, you would not believe how many Filipinos or Vietnamese with $2k-3k GDP/capita are very worried about 'illegal Chinese immigrants' with $12k GDP/capita. @ansy1968 can tell you about this ridiculous situation.

Indonesia is unlikely to take any substantial action... they couldn't even stop East Timor from being torn away and that's on land, what hope do they have of standing against Australia?

With Chinese support, Indonesia could very much stand up to Australia.

In 10 year's time, Indonesia is going to have a much larger economy and military than Australia.

Unfortunately that's never going to happen. Western "democracies" are driven not by national interests but by capitalist interests. Though they may quarrel among themselves from time to time, and in this instance backstab each other, they will never lose sight of the fact that the success of the Chinese socialist model is an existential threat to them.

My prediction is that France will make some angry noises and then smooth things over.
